After living with chronic muscular pain for 39 years, I'm naturally cautious about trying new therapies. The smooth finish comes from the wipe-clean TPU coating, which makes the mat easy to clean and maintain. It can feel slightly tacky when it's brand new, but this usually improves with regular use. A quick wipe with a dry cloth before use can also help.
